Fandromeda
A fantasy sports app for the fans by the fans!
Problem
Fandromeda was a fantasy sports app which was ahead of it's time! When fantasy sports hasn't been introduced into the Indian market, Fandromeda had to educate the market about Fantasy sports while introducing new and unique features like playing tournaments and playing with Friends and having custom tournaments that users can make it for their group. When watching user's favourite teams play the sports users get to watch live leaderboards among their friends and trash talk using the group chat that was provided.
Solution
With the experience and fun of working with IPL (Indian Premier League) during their first launch of their fantasy website product, the team brought the experience and idea into building a product which had so many unique features at the time. The application was launched without any pre-build up and still got users because of it's unique and custom features that was available to them. The product started with just around 200-250 users and moved on to get around 30,000 users within the next 3 months. The games had a lot of options such as Free games, Paid games, Tournaments and playing with Teams.
Impact
With the findings we had in the first 2 months, we were able to tweak and make the change to have a 24% increase in acquiring users Onboarding a user was modified and made simple that impacted a jump of 17% from people dropping off With tweaks in the way Paid games were promoted, we were able to achieve 4% conversion of users from Free games to Paid games Over 63,000 teams were created with the right promotion and messaging across application
