Cave Dash

I founded the company Prime Games Studios Pvt Ltd with one mission to make quality games for kids and adults. One of the games we created as we got a hold of the market was this unique live competing game of Cave Dash where you compete with friends. The project included overseeing from Design to Development to QA to Marketing. So I took a step back and while coming up with the game design, I established the product goals and the in-app purchases and established the targets for business too. This resulted in the game focused and balanced with being available for free to play.

Problem

Worked collaboratively and implemented the Lean-Agile framework where the team had daily time-boxed stand-up meetings, sprints, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. The goal was always to learn from the process, validate the learnings, improve faster, and have fun with the journey.

Solution

To improve transparency, I created a Kanban board used by all people, including the creative team, development team, and sales team. I developed weekly newsletters giving the teams updates about the projects and also the creative and development team queue. I was responsible for forecasting Sprint iterations with the product marketing managers and concerned business partners. I managed the creative queue, adjusting priorities according to the needs of the business on the Kanban board and also in the project management software. I created product goals and in-app purchases and game objects for business goals I tracked how the game is used what's the LTV of a user and how the game is used and utilised the data to come up with the right point to trigger the in-app purchases

Impact

Implemented a Kanban board adopted by the team Delivered finalised projects in 30 days Increased sharing in the game which resulted in Brand social media pages and number of downloads started increasing One of the initial live playing games was more engaging for the users. Out of the 100 surveys sent out we got positive response from 73. 17 out of 100 users pointed out the issues which helped us in updating the game and the direction the game was evolving at

From the team

It was a game which didn't go as planned and took its time to pick up but not that much. Me and my team looked into why and realised the insights of Game Design and keeping the players engaged through out with many new levels and variations. We learned a lot from this game
